A sustainable planet our Goal!!!

Pipelines and plants collect, process and transport hydrocarbons from the well to the consumer.

During the lifetime of a pipeline it has to be taken offline for several reasons. Each time a pipeline goes offline, the remaining product has to be removed, creating an environmental challenge.

With our flexible mobile combustion solutions, we overcome these challenges.

Pipeline Degassing

To take a pipeline offline for maintenance, inspection, decommissioning or abandonment, the remaining product has to be removed. Very often pipelines are vented, releasing harmful VOC’s and HAP’s to the atmosphere.

To reduce these harmful emissions and reduce the environmental impact, SIS’s Flying Combustor® can be used to combust the remaining product from a pipeline in an enclosed, controlled and environmentally friendly way with no visible flames. By using SIS’s services, you significantly reduce your carbon footprint.

This may sound surprising when using a combustion process, but did you know that methane has around a 30x bigger impact on the environment then CO2?

Thus, in the case of methane, you would reduce your carbon footprint by around a factor of 30 with our services.

Compressor Station Degassing

Compressor stations form an essential part of a pipeline infrastructure, but they too have to go offline for maintenance, inspections and testing.

The compressor station is blocked in and the remaining product has to be removed to provide a safe and explosion free working environment. This creates and environmental challenge. As with the pipelines, they are very often vented, releasing harmful VOC’s and HAP’s to the atmosphere.

SIS’s Mobile Combustor® and Flying Combustor® are designed to combust remaining product from a compressor station in an enclosed, controlled and environmentally friendly way with no visible flames.

If you are dealing with emissions, odor- or compliance issues, we have the solution for you.
